I must say that I was truly impressed by the visual component of this anime, and I find it hard to believe it was aired in 2006. Drawing, 3DCG and special effects can outperform even modern TV series.<\/p>\n<p>The main problem with the adaptation is that it is too fast-paced, and 24 episodes are not enough for revealing the plot. Therefore, the viewer, who did not read the original novel, will be confused (but on the other hand, it might be a great motivation for reading the VN). For a typical pleb, who didn\u2019t read the novel, there will be certainly a lot of questions after watching this anime. Perhaps this is the reason why it has such a low score on MAL.
